To some, change is terrifying—

a threat to the past,

a goodbye to what was once sacred.

But to those clinging to yesterday,

I say: embrace the shift.

Adapt.

Evolve.

Become like the city pigeon.

A creature that once soared over ancient European cliffs,

now thrives in steel canyons and concrete jungles.

No longer regal in appearance

but resilient in spirit.

The pigeon didn’t cry over the cliffs it lost.

It got busy surviving.

It learned to navigate alleys, scaffolding,

el tracks and ledges,

storm drains and subway vents.

Change isn't a loss.

It’s a license to grow wings again.

A chance to soar in a new sky

with old instincts sharpened by new grit.

So don’t fear change.

Be the dirty city pigeon.

Thrive in the modern wild.

Find beauty in adaptation.
